Recently, she had her directorial debut together with Nicole C. Mullen in the film THE GOD WHO SEES. The two co-wrote music in the film. Gifford is a patron of numerous children's organizations including Childhelp as well as the Association to Benefit Children which resulted in Cassidy's Place as well as Cody House named after her two kids. Her efforts to help others in the field of labour relations have earned an honorary doctorate from Marymount University.
